Am I doing something wrong?
I'm a new rider and feel like I'm doing something wrong because I'm feeling pressure on the palms of my hands against the bars when I ride my 600RR. I keep a loose grip around the handles (avoiding Survival Reaction #2 by Keith Code: Dont grip too tight). I'm thinking it has something to do with my posture and my weight is falling forward where my palms support it against the handlebars? Is that normal? Any thoughts? Thanks

Meanstrk- Elbows are not locked..I think it may have something to do with posture and grabbing the tank with my knees do help.
On another note, what is the best way of avoiding moving to the front? I get shifted a lot to the front of the tank during braking. Any recommendations on that? Thanks

Slide your butt back on the seat and you'll notice the pressure disappear from your hands. If you do this over time it'll become natural. Also strengthen your back and abs. It will pay HUGE dividends.
^^
Took me a little while to figure it out too, but naturally you should start using your legs more to support your body, which will take strain off your wrists, or palms.

Hmm,
My clutch hands starts to hurt too after about 10 minutes of riding then I have to shake it "off".
I know I don't use my legs to hug the tank for support. What support are you folks talking about?
Balancing support? Turning support?
I don't lock up the elbows either but at 5'2" I think I'm pretty much stretched out from the seat tot he handles.
