Altitude and HP

Default Altitude and HP

just an FYI i was watching the history channel, and i guess you loose 3hp every 1000ft, thought it was interesting and riders would like to know

Yeah that's why you gotta add more stickers....If you lived in denver you'd have to have a whole bunch of sticker to bring your horsepower back up. Unless you got a NOS sticker. Then you just need one.

That must be why my bike is so fast down here at 25ft above sea level!

Yup,

Calgary, Alberta = 3500', My parents place in BC = 2800'. I love it when the weather get's a lil cold, or road trips to the coast! yippe

Hmm....this is an awfully general statement. I would think that would be true with carb engines, but would think fuel injected machines wouldn't have the same effects. What kind of machine was this data gathered from?


And how many stickers did it have?

I haven't been able to test it with my FI bike, bit any car I've had trips to sea-level or close to it make a huge differance, wouldn't it be the same?
