Default 99% sure on an 05 rr

well the 929 i had planned on getting a few weeks ago got sold before i could buy it but i found this 05 with 16k miles for 3500. I offered him 3000 and am going to put a deposit on it within the hour since i have to go home for the weekend and cant pick up till monday. 3000 for an almost mint condition 05 seems too good to pass up and ill know for sure once i see it in person. opinions?

Gotta love when the say "has scratches on the right side then only put pics up of the left.
Looks decent though, Here an 05RR would go for a good $6500

he texted me pictures of the right and it looked fine. Once i see it in person ill know for sure though. I wrote up an agreement with him and made a deposit so for now it looks like itll be mine unless it turns out to not be as described.

Pictures suck. Let us know how it is in person.

Seems like it would be a strong deal if its legit.

Gotta agree with Phil here. Personally I have not ridden a 05-06RR but from what I hear from everyone that has ridden a 0-06 and a 07+ the 07+ is just worlds better. Also I think the looks of the 07+ is just looks so much better. Now this is just my personal preference, I don't mean to rain on your parade. If you're happy with the purchase then that is all that matters. My only advise is to not rush into a purchase cause you no longer have a bike. I rushed the purchase of my F4i and I really regretted it.

ive always been a fan of the 03-06 rr's looks and liked them better than the 07+'s. Ive been shopping around for a new bike since august so im not rushing it ive looked into a couple and at the moment this is the best deal ive come across and i dont think i can get any 05+ bike for cheaper than 3000 so im pretty happy with that aspect. As far as saving up another grand im a college student with no source of income over the winter so i wont have more money saved up till summer when prices go up anyway so i feel like ill still only be able to afford the same bikes i can now except ill be paying more for them so an 07 is unfortunately out of my price range unless you guys think its possible to find an 07 for around 3k in the dead of winter. Thats the only reason id bail on this bike that i can think of unless this bike turns out to be a dud.

i have a 06 , and i rail the hell out of it. its a great bike. only reason i say 07 is out the box its lighter , faster, and well thats two good enough. now for three g's you are not getting a 07. get the 05 06 and love it !
