Default 87 octain

Ive heard alot of mixed opinions.my owners manual says 86 or higher but I hear from other they wont use anything less than93.On a completely stock machine of course?Is this true

I only use 91 or 93, that is what everyone I ride with uses. Don't know if that is right or not though.

It makes a difference in zero interference engine/high performance engines... tested it on my car and found out the hard way.
