Default 600 MILES OVER THE FIRST SERVICE.

JUST PICKED UP AN 06 CBR 600RR AND IT HAS 900 MILES ONE IT. WHEN I ASKED THE SELLER IF HE EVER DID AN OIL CHANGE ON IT , HE TOLD ME THAT THE BIKE WONT NEED IT UNTIL IT HITS 1200 MILES. NOW I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE FIRST OIL CHANGE IS 600 MILES AND MY BIKE CURRENTLYREAD 1,170. SO MY QUESTIONIS MY ENGINE MESS UP IN ANY WAY OR IS NOT TOO LATE?

You're probably fine, but I would make an appt ASAP. The first service is more than just an oil change, it's basically a tune up and a torque down to make sure that it was put together well. Depending upon your riding style (me-namby pamby aka *****), your engine hasn't been worked over too hard. But if you've taken it to the limit or just short, there could be something. You never know, I know guys that used to work at cycle shops and put together bikes, they put them together as fast as humanly possible. In short-take it easy and take her in.

dude, you are so F#@!ed, your bike is a rolling corpse at this point.

just kidding, your fine, but i would change your oil soon especially if you have been riding hard. do it your self, it is easy and working on your bike fulfilling.

It will be fine, change that dirty, stinking oil. While you are at it, perform all the fake checks they charge you for when they service it. J/K, I like to do all my own work.

I would change it, ride it hard for a weekend, and change it again to get all the metal out of it from the manufacturing process...

See this link, but that bike was not properly broken in., if you see metallic oil when you change it, keep ing changing the filter and oil every few hundred miles till it's gone.

I think it's a good idea to immediately or soon as possible change oil/filter on any used vehicle, bike or car.
I'd change it now.
