I am trying to order a new chain and sprocket set, but Japan (being Japan) is a pain in the ***. I can't find a set, only individual parts. The Jap spec bikes have a 41 tooth rear sprocket, so all of the kits available are 525 chains with 16/41. I want to go down to a 520, so do you guys think a 16/42 with the chain being 520x112 would be correct? How is the gearing on US spec bikes? I would like to be able to do around 140mph top speed, but with low down acceleration for the smaller circuits we have in Japan.
