Question 2009 600RR Manual Octane Recommendation

What does the book say for the Recommended Octane reading?

And/or where does it say it in the manual - I can't find it.

EDIT:

and please for the love of God dear lord above please don't let this turn into a debate on Octane ratings.

I ONLY want to know where in the manual or better yet what the manual says. Thanks.

I think it is listed in Owner's manual not service manual. I can look it up when I get home if you don't have one

The manuals says octane number 91 or higher. Its listed all the way in the back of the book in the quick reference section.

I believe 03-06 is regular, and 07-11 is premium

I've wanted to know the answer to this question too as my 07 did not come with a owners manual and the service manual does not say go figure. I have been putting regual in my bike and have not noticed any problems but if the manuals calls for 91 then I'll start putting 91 in it.

Isn't that stupid that they do not put that sort of info in service manual? I guess service people do not go get gas for the customer. ha ha

additional info for 09: You may use gasoline containing up to 10% ethanol by volume. (Gasohol)
You may use gasoline containing up to 15% MTBE by volume
You may also use gasoline containing up to 5% methanol by volume as long as it contains cosolvents and corrosion inhibitors
