After having sat on all of the top 600's recently this is my ranking as far as comfort is concerned:

1) 06 ZX-6R - Nice, soft seat. Handlebars not too agressive.
2) 06-07 GSX-R600- Seat is good, pegs are pretty low. Feels more sit-in than sit-on.
3) 07 CBR600RR - Seat way better than previous gen and bars a bit higher and closer.
4) 05-06 CBR600RR - Flat, hard seat and low clip-ons. Fairly uncomfortable for extended periods.
5) 07 ZX-6R - Huge step backward for Kawi in terms of comfort. Seat is an absolute plank and is very high and wide.
6) 06-07 YZF-R6 - The most uncomfortable bike I have ever sat on. Period.

I find the lower bars of the 07 more comfortable than that of an older F4i, I also like the way it hugs your backmore, butit's all personal preferance. I think you'd be fine switching to the 600rr

I also agree with majin ssj eric...the new r6 felt like sitting on a piece of concrete.

I sat on the first rr they put on the market, the 2003, and I really enjoyed it. Like someone mentioned before, it's more of a "sit in" bike rather than a "sit on".

If comfort is what yout looking for then buy a volvo lol. It's 2 different worldsRR vs F4Igoing around corners. On long stretches I am sitting up and only using one hand on the gas so not uncomfortable at all. I am 6'0" even and exactly 197 lbs. I am very comfortable. If you cant handle the riding posistion then stay off of them for real! If you arnt happy you WILL start to ride sloppy and end up wrecking. I went riding for about 7 hrs the other day and I was only sleepy I was not sore at all. Bottom line if ya a cream puff stay on the sport touring not trying to be rude just my 2 cents

i just sat on an 07 600rr today, I was at the dealership with my f4i, so i went right on it from my f4i then after i sat back on the f4i to compare...That 07 rr is sweet and comfortable too. I like the bars much better on the 07 than on my f4i and it may have been more agreesive but I felt real comfy on it...The clip ons on the 07 were more outwards than the f4i clip ons so my wrists felt more comfy as well...Im waiting to hear what the stunters say about it cause I dont want a bike with a higher bp than the f4i..I know the older rr's had higher bps...Keyes were in it too, I wanted to drive that bad boy right through the window

I think that the 07 is one of the finest bikes out there, but it's not the easiest bike to live with in the comfort catagory. I have had mine for about 3 weeks now & absolutely love it. The seat isn't that bad and gets better the further you slide you *** back (the seat foam is thicker). The throttle return spring is a little on the stiff side but you quickly work around that. What is nuts is how comfortable the thing is in full tuck. I'm 5'11" and about 180-190lbs and I can completely fold in behind the low screen. It will be a higher effort & less comfortable machine than your current bike but nothing that you can't adapt to. It's well worth it.

I went from an '03 F4i to an '05 RR last October. Everyone told me the RR would be much less comfortable, but it's not. Actually, my wrists aren't as sore and my hands don't fall asleep as often on a 200+ mile ride. The Fun Factor is ++++++++ much better! I do have a Corbin seat, which I also highly recommend. I see everyone posting their height - I'm 5'3" (a little on the short side) but I don't know how much difference that makes.

I have two friends who recently bought the '07 600 RR ... both coming off 1k bikes ... andboth seem to LOVE it! I say "GO FOR IT!"
