Anyone that can help me. My 2007 CBR 600RR just stopped on my yesterday on the highway. I was cruising and it seemed like the bike just lost power and cut off!!!!

I recently installed a Jardine RT-1 slip on, but doubt that has anything to do with it because I have been riding a while with it on. To let you know where I am with it. All fuses under the seat are okay. All connections seem fine on the bike, but I have read there is another fuse box somewhere on this bike but I can't find it???

Bike will still turn over and electrical seems fine, but it's not firing!!

If anyone can help or add advice it would be greatly appreciated..trying to avoid the dealer.

 

Sounds like either a fuel injection or spark plug problem.

 

do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key and switch the run switch to "RUN"?

 

Not that anyone would do this,,,, but first make sure you didn't put Diesel fuel in it.

I hear the FI fire up wen I turn the switch to run and the FI light on the gagues comes on and turns off as normal.

 

You have the warranty on it, so I would take it in ASAP. (to a dealer you trust that is.) I have to drive over an hour to get to my dealer because the one in town is full of crooks and thieves.

 

Due to the fact I have put on an aftermarket exhaust and flush mounts and fender eliminator..will that void my warranty?

 

Did you fill up with fuel before this all happened? There is a bout of bad gas going around here because the shop I work at had two cars come in with no starts. Both of them had about half water and half fuel in their tanks. Also, have you checked to see ifit had spark and injector pulse? You need to dig a little deeper than just listen to the fuel pump prime unless you plan on taking it to the dealer. To answer your question, I doubt anyone will be able to speak for your dealer on warranty issues, but I would not think they would blame you for a running condition because it has a different pipe.

 

When you hit the start button, does the motor turn like it wants to start?

 

i had the same issue lately. i first thought it was a battery issue, so i charged the batt.. ive taken it to the dealer with issues reguarding the fuel injection not priming, naturally it never happened when it was there.... the other day it didnt fire, couldnt bump start it, eventually got it to run and havent had a problem since. its not electrical, im hoping it was just a fuel issue that resolved itself when it turned over...
