2007 600RR Service Manual
Hey I am new here and was just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a service manual for a 2007 cbr 600rr. I looked around the internet and found one for 60 dollars, is this what I should expect to pay??
I called several dealers around here for the first service on my bike and the cheapest is 180, which is ridiculous. I have decided to do my own since they all told me that I will not void the warranty and that they have warrantied a bike after someone did their own service. They also told me to keep all reciepts and keep very close records of everything I did though.
Thanks for any help

Yeah, $180 = screwed. Forget that! It's about $80-100 or so... I actually bought it within' a week of the service manual being available. You can order it online through honda... and, if you bought your 2007 cbr from a dealer NEW, it should have automatically put you in Honda's HRCA club for a year. They give you a special card, and you're entitled to special member benifits. That's where I went and found the CBR service manual first.

RE: 2007 600RR Service Manual
Yeah I did get the HRCA membership and checked out everything online. The service manual there is a common service manual though, not specific to the CBR. Do you think this would be good enough to do the maintinence required for the first service. I'll plan on changing the oil and filter and checking the chain. The manual also says to inspect the brake system, clutch system, nuts and bolts, and the steering head bearings... so the dealer will basically pull the brake lever and make sure the brakes come on then charge me 180 dollars, or is there something special here?? It looks like the only real work is the oil change according to the manual.
Also will I need any special tools like an oil filter wrench or anything other than a set of metric wrenches?
Thanks again guys, this forum is great.

Hey man i am in the same exact boat. After talking to a couple of guys at the Honda dealership as far as the clutch goes they just seem to check the amount of play. pgs 108-110 in owners manual. The brakes i would assume is nothing special. Nuts and Bolts are common sense in my opinion. I am saving the pesos and doing it myself as well. Good Luck

It clearly says "2007" and "CBR600RR" on it... it's VERY detailed, has EVERYTHING you would need in it, pictures, specs, instructions, the works. Got it from the HRCA site. Sooo.... ?
And for the oilchange, you'll need a 17mm wrench and something to get the filter off. And frankly... the filter is in a spot that I couldn't get many tools into, so good luck! It can be done!
