Default 2007 600 rr lowering

hi im going to get a 2007 600rr today. I got a lower link form ebay. the dealer wants like $250 to lower the bike. But that isdoing it correct way of taken the forks apart and lowering it internaly. they will also cut the kick stand and put the rear link on. does that sound like a fair deal??

Get some thicker sole boots...and save the 250..the 07 RR wasnt meant to be lowered...if u dont fit u just dont fit....why o why do people insist on lowering RR's...ya think Josh Hayes lowers his bike...or Zemke...cmon already enough is enough..good luck with a not so stock Honda...

+1. There's a reason why Honda doesn't make lowering links themselves.

Not trying to flame or anything, and I know you didn't for our opinions on lowering, but here is mine anyway.........

People that are too short for a bike insist on lowering it primarily so they can put their feet flat at a stop for confidence sake. (what else is the purpose of lowering it?). If this is the primary reason, why buy a bike that is known to have the highest seat height in it's class. You don't buy brand new pants that are WAY too big, and start cutting away at them, (you buy pants that fit you in the first place).

Honda engineers spent years developing this bike to make it handle the way it does, and you pay for that engineering and handling when purchasing the bike. You throw all that away the second you lower it. (just some friendly advice before you do anything drastic )
