Default 2005 or 2007 CBR

i am looking to buy my first cbr 6000 within the next 3 months. I can find a 2005 for around 600 and a 2007 for around 7500. With comparable miles, is the 2007 worth the extra money?

I'd say no. I have an 05 and think that not only are the body styling better but more mods out there that are plug and play as alot of things for the newer version are still being developed. Esp if it's your first bike which I doubt it is if your going onto a 600.
Remember the rule... "Your either a biker who has gone down, or is going to"
ride safe!

I would go with the 05 for 600, thats one hell of a price! On a side note I have an 06 and want an 07 for to many reasons to write. But if its your first bike then you might wanna stick with the older one

I let my friend who had an 06 hold onto my 08 while I was deployed and he was so jealous he sold it and got a 1000 lol. Seriously though, for the price I'd get the 05.

The difference between the 05-06 and the 07-08 is like night and day.

The 07-08 models are about 19-pound lighter from the previous 05-06 models and the engines are smoother with less vibration at all rpm. Lower-end acceleration is also worlds better than on the previous version. As far as comfort, the new CBR's seat has thicker and much more supportive padding and the clip-on bars are positioned 10mm higher for more comfort during long rides.

My previous bike was an 06 600RR and I currently own an 07 600RR. I couldn't believe the difference when I drove my 07 for the first time, it's that big of a difference. If you are able to, I would highly recommend test riding an 07 model before you decide to go off and pick up an 06.

In the end it's entirely up to you and what you can afford. Having owned an 06 and now an 07, I feel it's well worth it to hold out until you can get an 07-08. If you test an 06 and you find that your completely happy with it then go for it. But if not don't just settle for one, you'll regret it not too long after.

Theres no comparison. The 07+ models are leaps and bounds better then the 03-06 models.
