Default 2003 cbr600rr plastics/worth it question

I'm thinking about buying an 03 cbr600rr, but i don't know if I'm getting a decent deal or if I'm paying too high. Plus, I don't know if he is being truthful about the plastics. He has the movistar ones and is claiming that he got them from Honda (not the cheap knock off ones). Does Honda carry them (aka oem) or are the only available through after market companies?
Also, am I getting a good deal? He is willing to do 3850 delivered (its an hour drive). He claims that it has never been down and hasn't been abused.
2003 HONDA CBR 600RR MOVISTAR REPLICA
Thanks in advance!

Well I highly doubt the Fairings are OEM as he states as they would be a custom order and the stock OEM fairings are over $2,000, Ask him for the receipt because if I paid that much I wouldn't just throw the receipt away. If not chances are it has been down and he replaced the fairings with aftermarket ones.
But it could have been like mine and just tipped over and all cosmetic damage.

I mean either way its a good looking bike and 3850 isnt too bad for an 03 as long is its mechanically fine. See if hell do 3500 if you pick it up. Id be willing to bet that its been down in some wat

I appreciate the replies. I asked which Honda he got them from because I didn't think Honda made movistar plastics and he is saying that they are oem blue Honda plastics with movistar decals...
He is still saying that it hasn't been down--that he just wanted something different and no, he downstairs have the receipt. I offered him less and he said that that's the lowest he can do. What do you think??

hm my post got cut off thats weird. But i was saying that i bet the bikes been down some way or another unless he just really wanted movistar fairings on there. Always possible but rarely plausible. If he wont do less than that price whether you pick it up or get it delivered then make him drive that **** to you. If your hearts set on it and its mechanically sound then do it. You could probably send a couple hundred more and get an 05-06 or even get one for around that same price if you get lucky so as usual its up to you to make that call.

Thank you so much for the replies! They have been of a lot of help. I told him I was going to pass on it and he said that he could do 3750 delivered....tempting, I must admit. The fairings might be oem because they have the grey Honda plastic on the bottom and not the one piece with green on the bottom like most aftermarker (I could be wrong and some aftermarket might not be one piece).
I just wish I knew more about motorcycles so I knew what to look for for signs of being dropped and or abuse :/ I also believe the odds of it being dropped are high even though he is claiming he did, indeed, just want the movistar graphics. your advise has been highly appreciated!

Best places to look to see if it has been down is the bar ends, end of the foot pegs, heel guards, back corners of swing arm, exhaust can, mirrors, Look at where the fairing screws go in If there is any crack paint they are aftermarket..
If they have been replaced or scratched it most likely has been down.
Just because it went down doesn't mean it is garbage, It could have just fell over or he might even be telling the truth?

In the end if your happy with it thats all that matters.

Honda made a Limited Edition Moviestar Replica, just like the Repsol ones, but I do not remember the year. I am thinking '06, but could be wrong.
