In Chattanooga, TN you can buy a new 06 600RR for 7583 + tax, tag, and title with 0 miles. No upgrades though. - if this helps???

More aggressive riding style than the F4i, not as comfortable, but more HP and better brakes.

yeah msrp is $8999. a few dealers will sell 'em way cheaper than that though. i've heard of that place in chattanooga. there's also a place in union city, tn... brand spanking new 2006 600RR for $7600 out-the-door.

Well I went to take a look at it. It's pretty nice only a few scratches on the left lower side fairing, but nothing big. Tires are brand new. They also had a 05 yzf600r. It felt alittle more comfortable when I sat on it. They're askin $5800 for it. Would that be better to start out with instead of the rr. Also what is a good asking price for the rr. Thanks

for the RR... $5500 out-the-door. that would be reasonable. don't know what your location is but i've got a buddy with that exact bike and he's selling it for $5500. good luck

The F4i feels easier to turn with and is more comfy because the clipons are up higher. I think the forgiveness is about the same. If you respect the throttle and know when NOT to use the brakes and ride your own ride you will do OK. There's a lot of people here that bought 600RRs as a first bike. If you have issues when it comes using good judgement when drive an automobile, you shoud seriously consider not riding any motorcycle on the street.

I think I'll try to offer him $5000 out the door for it. If he doen't take it I'll just keep looking in my area for a bike, no rush. Thanks for all your guys help, I appreciate it.

The 600RR is the best looking bike in the 600 class and I had to have one, so I bought an '05 leftover brand new for $7800 plus tax and everything else as well. The bike is super easy to control but when you open the throttle, you can feel a beast lurking within. I don't have any problems cornering since the bike does everything for me and all I do is send it my thoughts, since it seems to read my mind. I used to have a heavier F2 so I am no stranger to these bikes. The comfort does leave alot to be desired but so what? When you ride a bike like the mighty 600RR, you have to sacrifice something and the thing is just so sleek-looking. The newer RR's are a bit lighter as well, starting with the '05 models. I guess they will make more changes in '07 as well.
