Over the this fall and winter i am looking to get a 03 600RR... When looking is there any known issues or problems that I should look for? cam chain tensioner etc? Any help is appreciated!!

 

2003 models have had rectifier / regulator issues causing dead batteries.

 

There was a recall on the linkage on the rear brake, they said that if it rusts it could snap causing the rear tire to lock up...I never had my recall done, but then again I hardly ever use the rear and it still looks and works good.

i think its bike to bike, keep the above ideas in mind, but dont let them worry you. my 03' runs and performs like a dream.
by the way how much are you looking to spend?

 

i got my 03 last winter, no problems what so ever. (break recall was done) i remeber reading something about the fork seals, dont remember the deails.

 

Thanks for the heads up! I am selling my F2 for whatever I can get from it and buying the RR. Hopefully catch some unlucky soul in mid-winter looking for cash and get a good deal on it.
