Default 2 Bros length

I love the look and sound of the 2 bros slip on but it sticks out too far for my taste. Has anyone ever cut the pipe to make it a little shorter where it doesn't stick out from the tail so much? Also, I've seen a few different pics of bikes with the 2 bros and some look shorter than others so is the 03-04 different lengths than the 05-06?
Thanks
Jerrad

That was my one and ONLY gripe about the two bros, i don't dislike it it would just have to grow on me. But i will admit i finally heard one and it was on a zx10r and it was at an idle and sounded mean as hell!

If my D&D doesn't work out i am going two bros or maybe Akra if i hear one.

Yeah when I first saw the 2 Bros it looked a little long out the back, but I think the sound more than compensates for that. Like Revver says, you'll just have to let it grow on you, but if there was a way to have it shorter it would be nice.

I'm just assuming they made them so long so that it doesn't discolor or melt the tail light?

I like the Two Brother's reputation and sound, but i am not going to get it because it stick out too much. For that reason i will settle down for Youshimura RS5 stainless steel.

I thought it looked too long in all the pics I had seen too, but when I actually got it on the bike the proportions looked pretty good. For some reason in person I think it looks really good, not long at all. And of course that sound, OMG!!!

alright here is a serious question you need to ask yourself before you go and get all chopper city on your new pipe. Do you really want to screw something up that you just payed 600 bucks for? If the answer is yes then just cut and reweld the pipe somewhere behind the s-bend. If the answer is no (as mine was) then just install as is. I have got nothing but compliments on my pipe, and it is exactly as it came out of the box.

No. I'm just going to get a yosh instead. I love the sound of the 2 bros but I just can't get over how far it sticks out. Thanks for all the replies.

Alright guys, let's see some pics from those who consider the 2 bros exhaust to stick out too far.
