RE: 1st bike, 1st ride
you should be fine bro, my first bike was a Kawasaki ZR7 (750). It weight about 399.00000000000001pounds . The thing is..i've NEVER ridden a STREET or DIRT bike before...matter of fact, i didn't know how to drive a Manual CAR (reason i mentioned manual car because I realize it should be easy for people who've already knew how to drive a Manual car will tend to learn to ride a motorcycle faster)..It stalls so many times on me untill i got a hang of it when the clutch kicks in in the first gear rev...If i was that bad at the beginning and started out with a 750....you should be finew/ your 600rr.Oh, i fell3 times hahhahahahhhahhhahahh...but over some stupid **** (That's when i was 17).
1) Bought the bike and parked it at my friend's house cause I was too afraid of my parents might get my ***..My friend rode it home for me cause I didn't know how to ride at that time, no Motor. License either. Anyways, I was toooo excited to get on that bike and learn how to ride..Smart me, it was raining a little that night..I thought that if i ride on the grass will help from hurting myself if i fall...1, 2, 3 BAMMMMMMM...I was like..Okay, time to put up the bike...practice tomorrow hahhahhahahhh
2) tried to kick a dried up apple in the parking lot with the KICKSTAND while the bike is moving.....YEa, dumb huh...very funny to think about it...
3) My shoe laces cought up in the gear peg (left) and i tried to fix it with both EYES looking down...Next thing when i looked up...a car STOPPED right in front of me, ONLY with my right hand on the handle and squeezed the brake...NOT a smart thing to do...Lost control and fell down at 40mph...I didn't roll or anything but my whole body slid with the bike like MI2 ahaahahah
Never fall again after that (knock on wood).

RE: 1st bike, 1st ride
Remember the difference between confidence and too comfortable. My friend forgot that today and totaled his bike, he got a little to comfortable, he's OK. Thankfully it is an 01 GSXR and not a new bike. Just be careful man, before you know it, you will feel totally fine and the second you loose respect for the machine, it will put you right back into place..... just remember how fast these things can kill you. My friend forgot that today..he never will again. Just take your time, you have the bike for a long time, there is no need to rush things. Be Careful!!!
