I have an 07RR red and black. I am going to order the lower red fairings from the 08 but i have a question is it a direct fit? any modifying need to be done? And also I am hearing a rumor that some 07's came with the charcoal grey mid fairings instead of the silver grey ones is this true? Mine came with the silver grey anyone know the price of the charcoal grey mids??

 

They are a direct fit, Charcoal grey if i recall correctly are on the silver, and white bikes. The other bikes have silver mid fairings

 

I recommend finding someone with a white 07 and do a mid-fairing swap, being that the ONLY bike that came with the charcoal mid's in 07 was the white one.

I ended up painting mine gloss black. And yes, the red lower fairings from the 08 will fit perfectly fine. Direct bolt on.

Here was my 07 with the Charcoal mids I swapped off my buddie's White 07.........




Then I ended up making up my mind to paint them gloss black to match the bike a little better..........

 

looks nice. Now im trying to decide if I want to go with the charcoal grey or have them painted but i want a different unique look. By the way that CBR decal on your mids is that from the new 08 1000 fireblade?

 

Blue Fox, Is that the stock upper fairing or did you swap it out with a black bike? I have never seen it like that before.
