Default 07 or 08 600RR?

my buddy and I went to look at an 07 600RR yesterday. it's white 100% stock and has no mods at all, this bike basicly was ridden a handful of times then the girl moved back to colorado *(im in texas).

she wants 8k for the bike which is a great deal imo

heres the thing though, she bought the bike in colorado and trailored it down here. well she never registered it here in the 6 months she had it so it doesnt have texas plates at all and a colorado title.

now I am pretty sure I can get a new 07 for less then 9k OTD or an 08 for 9400 tops.

what would you do?
I Love the white color and so does hebut they have the silver on silver 08 and the red and black 07 at the dealership which are my other 2 fave colors. he hasnt seen them IRL but we are going to look today.

p.s. this is for my best friend not me but it doesnt matter Im just wondering what your suggestions are.

oh yeah, one thing I forgot, the guy who is selling the bike for his ex gf has two 1000RR's and an F4i stunt bike, I know he can ride but Im just asuming he rode the thing hard, thats how he looks and thats how im asuming he road it.

he did say he didnt take it over 10k rpm's but it only has 600 miles on it.

For a few hundred more, I would shop around for a new 07. I just got my 07 OTD for way under 9K. I feel safer with a new bike and the dealer warranties.

bleh, well we just went to the dealer and i was talking to 2 different dealers and neither would go lower then 9,500 for a bran new 07. IMO that's really stupid I know I can get one for 9k OTD but here in Texas bikes are a bit more expensive then usual because you can ride all year round.. still looking for a deal though but it looks like my friend might get the 07 with 600 miles on her

i bought my bike new in the beginning of november for $8900 OTD, and that was in CA, which i thought was more expensive than any other state. you can find a new one cheaper, trust me. do your homework on what other dealerships are advertising on ebay, around the internet ...etc, then go in with the printouts in your hand and show them you know what you're talking about. if you're there to do the deal on the spot - not just "would you take x" one would think they'd do whatever they could to get your business because they still get to rape you on servicing, gear, financing (if you're not a cash buyer), and so on...

I'm in bedford (texas) and I went to the dfw honda dealer and they suck. Guy was a douchebag among other things he said the 07 white one they had was a special edition and that the price on it was whatever last years msrp is +shipping and all their bs fees. He said it'd be a couple hundred bucks cheaper since it was older but still I'd be looking for otd near the 07' msrp not the same price as an 08.
