I would like to ride one before I would choose to pick it over the new RR.

I was making the same decision recently, wound up with an RR because the Daytona was impossible to find. I finally managed to take a ride on the Daytona a couple of weeks ago, though, and got the following impressions:

-It sounds stunning - the most beautiful grunts, squeals and whines I've ever heard.

-It looks great

-Super light and nimble

-Lots of torque

BUT - the CBR feels more solidly built, by a long shot.

If I could trade the CBR for a brand new Daytona right now, I wouldn't, but wouldn't mind having one nonetheless.

They're really nice looking bikes. Very well designed and dressed.

BUT

From the front (compared to the 600RR anyway) they look extremely narrow. Looks almost anorexic.

But you can't go wrong with either a 600RR or 675. Either one is going to be one screamer of a bike.

i payed 9400 OTD from shoreline motorsports in Racine WI. figured it was amazing deal because i was looking at an 600RR and this bike was about the same price and is alot faster. i got a few more pics here.

and another, this one shows that the bike really isnt as skinny as people make it out to be. it is taller than my old F4i, and feels width wise about the same.

I have read in the Motorcycle news (MCN) here in britain that the 675 is'nt all its cracked up to be??[sm=badidea.gif]
In this weeks article one guy wrote in and complained about the oil usage of the 675 and this is the reply he got off Triumph:

"A Daytona 675 owner was told by the Triumph factory that a serious engine problem occured with his bike because he had'nt checked the oil on a daily basis - even though it does'nt specify this is required in the owner's manual"[sm=forgetit.gif]

Basically the 675 use's a hell of a lot of oil, if it was a choose out of a brand new 675 or cbr600 there is only one winner for me, CBR600 RR EVERYTIME!![sm=happy046.gif]
