I just picked up a 2005 cbr600RR a few weeks ago and i get on the thing today and the speedo is at LEAST 50mph off! it says im goin 150 when im goin around 90-100. Thats not the worst of it tho! It just rolled over 3500 miles yesterday and today i get on it and it says damn near 7000 on the bike!!!!!! WTF?????? I really thought i was on someon elses bike ! It was crazy. Anyway wat the hell do I do? i bought the bike with 2500 miles on it, and everything was fine yesterday. This all happened over night! HELP!!!!!!!

 

does it have a speedo healer? You can program it to read what ever you want. You can make the speedo show 0 when you're doing 150mph and 200 mph when your doing 10...

 

hell if i know? how do i check it? I really dotn care about the speedo. how in the hell did my mileage jump up 3500 over night??????? did something short out? did someone cut somethin? wtf is goin on.

 

All i know is that it was absolutely fine yesterday, i parked it, then get on it today and its gone ****in crazy.

 

The mileage will change with your speed.

The speedo healer is usually installed under the seat, but it's small enough to fit just about anywhere. You can look where the speedo healer plugs in to see if you have one.

the mileage jumps up spiratically! i was watchin it and it jumped up 50 miles in the span of about 100 yards. How am i gonna get it back down to 3200?

 

Are you saying the mileage changed over night while it was parked? Did you change the speedo over to KMH by accident? If you press both buttons at the same time, you switch between KMH and MPH. If you hold both down for a few seconds, you start changing the time.
