I thought it sounded pretty nice and quiet for a race bike. R1 and R6 and kawi 636 are louder. Even the gixxer sounds loud and high pitched out of the box. The honda is the least noisey 600 full fairing race bike I have heard.

R-6 LOUD are you serious. My buddy's girl ride an R-6 and it is by far the quietest thing I have ever heard. That thing sound like it's humming going down the high way.
