Default 03 600rr Pricing

Whats up guys. I need a little input before I purchase this bike. It is a 03 600rr with 1749 miles with a two brothers titanium slip on. The bike laid down and it has a few scratches on the tail, front panel beside headlight and one panel on the right side. The throttle box with kill switch on it is also cracked and it needs a battery. Otherwise everything looks really nice and the motor sounds good. They are asking $3000 for it. It looks like for under a 1000 it could look brand new again. Does this seem like a good deal? I had considered buying it only to turn around and sell it for more. So should I jump on it? Thanks

hmmmm - you sure it aint a lemon or something? make sure it's in running order - but $3K for a 03 600RR under 2,000 miles is awesome deal. Now i dont understand if it has fairings or what's up.. i mean it's pretty much a steal if the bike is in semi-good condition.

damn, i wish i could pick it up myself - but hey, it's your gain playa.. (but if you fall thru the deal with it, ill take up the offer on it - but it aint for re-sale..)

http://www.nadaguides.com/Values/Val...del=1200005239 - there is a NADA pricing on a 03 CBR 600RR with a exhaust setup (just remember, modifcations on a bike dont up the value - they just hold the price alittle better..)

Well heres the story. The kid bought the bike new. Two months later he was standing up while going about 20mph to adjust his pants and accidentally downshifted was thrown over the bars with no helmet and was killed. Good lesson learned. Anyways his parents are selling it 2 years after the accident. Basically the bike just fell over and slid. Sad story but I think the parents just want it gone hence the price.

if the frame is good and the motor runs, grab it. Most stuff can be found on ebay and the bike be fixed up for a little bit of money. I bought my RR for 2,000 bucks and only took 300 bucks to get it back on the road when I got it...
