03-06 Fairings Install

Default 03-06 Fairings Install

Anybody have a picture of the bolts in the front cowl. Trying to put my 600RR back together with some fairings and bolts I bought, but I have no clue what goes where as the bike was naked when I got it.

What kind of nut is on the back of the front cowel connected to the upper fairing.

They should be all wellnuts, also called captive nuts. Nuts in a rubber housing that spreads as it's tightened. One time use....

Correct. They look like this. They can be found pretty inexpensive online.

Only the front fairing and front of the side fairings use them. The lower fairings bolt into brackets and underneath use extruded u-nuts to fasten together. Sorry, no pictures of those.
