whats a good tire to get for my 99 cbr
i was just wondering how much it would cost me to get good tires on my bike....ive heard of soft tires and what not but i just got into riding and i dont know much.....any help would be great
Personally I like Bridgestone's BT014's on front and back. They're good in both the wet and dry which is why I like them. Shamefully they don't last long milage wise, but I'd rather have a decent set of tyres beneath me that I feel safe with than something that's just ok and will last longer. Prices depend on where you live really. I live in the UK, so what I pay wouldn't matter to you really lol.
+1 on the metzelers. i just put a set of sportec M1's on my 900 and they are awesome in wet and dry...if watch ebay you can get them dirt cheap...front was 50 and rear was 100...can't beat that
Michelin has a great tire in their Pilot Powers Series, I have ridin with Prielli Diablo's and they were ok but then most seen tire with my buddies is the Pilot Power. Michelin also has The Pilot Power 2ct series they are a even soft compound. They don't last too long though, 3-5 thousand miles but i think it's worth it.
+1 to Metzeler's and I also like running the Pirelli Dragon's, awsome tire, again they also wear a bit fast due to the soft compound, bet they feel awsome wet or dry. Price, about $500CAD for the pair.
Never had any issues with my Dunlop Qualifiers, yet. They are also on the soft side so they only last about 3k-4k miles, from what i've heard.
EDIT:: Oh, and the tires themselves were around 300 and 150 for mounting and balancing. Look to drop 400-500... it sucks.

Anyone had any expiriance with the Mezlers ME4 or the newer ME6 ?
I used to run on them on my former F3, and quite loved them.
They are more on the milage side then the sporting one, but I never had any problems with their adhesion...[

As I grew older, my chicken strips grew wider....
I wonder will they be any good on my current F4i ?
The stock tires sucks, and I only have them for 2K miles [:@]
