Exclamation What is this?

I am doing the bar ends on her and found this inside the clip ons, I guess it is either a weight or a stabilizer or both can someone please let me in or what this is?

It's the weight. It's there for dampening the vibration.

ok so bad to remove then, or better do you have them in your clip-ons?

Yes, better to have them. Honda did design it that way. ;-)

ok well I have kept them I might trim the brake side down as the throttle side had been heavily chopped for some reason. If I need them though I got them.

Your missing a rubber grommet on the one side though.

Yeah I saw that, the throttle side was cut in half and then shoved up in there and the clutch side seemed to be ok aside from the missing rubber.

if i were you id go ahead and order a new one for the other side since you said its been chopped, and get a new grommet and clip to replace the ones youre missing, as well as new ones for the other side. those weights do more than you may think.

I will probably just get new clip ons instead these clip ons are probably original with would make them 13yrs old plus the tripple tree needs to either be replaced or repainted.
