Vacuum line help.
Hey guys, new to these forums, had a couple questions. I just picked up a 2000 cbr600f4 and I'm having trouble finding info on the way these "ram air lines"/ Air intake control solenoid actually work? I get the pair valve operation and how to do the "stunter bypass" sending valve cover gases out the exhaust, but the other lines coming from the carbs still kinda baffle me. I know the bike is designed to run on the smaller ones then switch to the large side ones after a certain speed but why? What does this actually do inside the carb? I'm asking because if I wanted to delete the air solenoid and just run the "low speed" lines into a tee with the high speed lines to the air box would this work or not? Sorry if this is confusing, I'll try to post some pics later to clarify what I'm talking about.
Ok so the yellow lines and the red lines are what I'm referring to here. If I was to delete the valve that the red airlines run to can I run them straight to the air box without issue?
