Anyone here Paint or change their black air scoops on their F4 front cowl. I have pulled and broken down for some minor repair and repaint. Ive never liked the look of them and wondered if anyone has done something unique with them.

I'm going to get mine carbon trimmed later this month when my fairing arrives and I've got everything off... will look sweet then me thinks...

And BTW, there's nothing UGLY on an F4 ;-)

 

Maybe not "ugly" then but next to new paint that faded mat black plastic looks out of place. Im just wondering if I could epoxy them to the main faring and fill the crack with a little bondo to smooth the transition and paint them along with the main cowl.

best thing to do to shine up any faded plastic part (like those intake ducts) is spray them with Armor All Tire foam and leave it on for few minutes then rub it and clean it off, and BOOM its shiny like NEW
tried it on my intake ducts and worked out very well

 

I used sunscreen to refresh mine, works like a charm.
