trying again..bike dies with pink speedo wire hooked up
everything works..when i unhook the pink/green speedo wire from the dash the bike will ride good, when its plugged in, it will die after a couple min of riding, idk if it dies at a certin speed, or if it dies at a certin temp, or what, i just know ive been riding it for a few weeks with it unplugged with no problems..i do need to know how fast im going though..tia

Hi all,
Thank you for the responses, I finally figured it out. The problem was electrical due to the fact that I changed the dash for an aftermarket unit. In this process I didn't realize that in the wiring diagram the 20km/h (pink/yellow) wire is a sensor related to the ram air solenoid. Since this was closed when I was at speed the engine was basically being starved and hence the inconsistent throttle response. Thus if you are not using a dash, or are using an aftermarket dash, you need to ground that wire to open up the ram air. The bike is running perfectly now!
thank you for your suggestions and help.
stole this off another thread..should i give it a shot too since my speedo isnt working ??
