Default Ticking at 2900-3200RPM

I know there are some thread about this, but I want F4 guys/girls knowledge before i spend $300.00 having something fixed....

It is only noticeable at 2900 to 3200 RPM, regardless the gear. Sounds like "tick-tick-tick-tick....you get the idea".

valve adjustment?
CCT?

Also, when warm, bike idles around 1500-1700RPM.....normal?

I believe the tick is the valves, mine does it also, but its not really that noticable.

as far as the idle, 1300-1500 is normal..so if its 1700 its a little high.

I have a light (seems loud to me at times, but everyone else says its minor) tick between 3500-4500 rpm. I have a manual cct, and valves were done about 2000km ago. The tick is still there. I have just given up trying to figure out what it is.

sometimes when i hear mine it seems like its just normal operation. its really only noticable when its cold... after it warms up its not that bad. and it increases with rpms so its prolly valves. have yet to get that done yet.
