I've heard that the new tail frame doesn't give you the regulator mount so what people have done was had one welded on. I'm doing the research now because I'm thinking of making that swap.

actually it will just need the bolt holes drilled from what I can see. My sub hasnt arrived yet so I only have pix to go by lol. Its the ECM I really aint sure about. The F4 undertray will need to be trimed or a 01-03 F4i one aquired. [&:]

Good to know. Yeah, I'm not sure about the ecm either. The undertray f4i doesn't have slots similar to the f4?

i did a great deal to my bike. with the fuel pump mount braket, i simply drilled a hole in the subframe and mounted only one screw. the rectifier had a spot already with one hole so i used that.

From what I can tell, you can't use an F4 undertail on an F4i subframe. The back end is different and won't bolt on correctly.

to use a F4 undertray you would have to trim too much off n I'm still not sure it would fit right as mentioned. the F4 tail is a fatass compared to the 01 - 03 tail. I found a trimed F4i tray, tho trimed a bit to much I may find a replacement later on.

okay. here is what you will need to do a swap on the tail end for an F4.
(changing the F4 tail to an F4i tail... the split seat, 01-03 style..see my pics)
1 subframe '01-03
1 tail light wire harness (they will plug right in)
1 Cowl (plastics)
1 F4i undertray
again. there are some things you will have to mod/adjust. to mount the fuel pump bracket and the rectifier... but it can be done with a little creativity no problem
