Hi peeps
I took my tank off the other day and noticed ther is a pipe that is connected to the fuel pump and not connected to anything just open to the atmosphere?is this correct or have i disturbed something??only other pipes open to atmosphere r the ones that hang down to the bottom fairing and there is two of them??help muchly appreciated my bike is the cbr f4 2000 reg

The 2 from the bottom of the tank are a vent and a fuel-overflow. (#48/#49)
#14 is from the fuel-filter to the pump and #15 is to the carbs

If you are refering to #17 in the diagram, I'm not sure what the heck it's for.

Hopefully some wiser head will pop in, with a comment.

I think the coolant overflow? I can't remember but there should he 2 or 3 that exit through the rectangular slot in the bottom center of the lower fairing..

 

So in that diagram Number 17 is coming off the pump and is not attached to anything by the looks of it ???i have the two that come down and out the bottom of the fairing so is it pos this pipe coming off the pump is a breather pipe???

No thats your vent and fuel overflow pipes they are meant to be hanging down there to the open the one im baffeld about is under the tank coming off the fuel pump can anyone tell me this is normal ???
