It is very informative. I was wondering if anyone played with their suspension settings and what they set theirs to. I put mine just a little past half on the soft side. Gonna ride it tomorrow and see if I like it. It seems like it was too stiff before.

 

I just bought a 99 F4 yesterday and the suspension is a little on the soft side. How do you adjust it to make it more firm?

 

Duz anyone know if a 2000 F4 can be adjusted like the article shows for another bike with a big socket at the top of the forks? I illustrates a socket with grooves to count. The socket compresses the top of the spring to make it tighter or softer. http://www.kgrant.co.uk/Per_Handling2.htm

 

There is what looks similar to what the instructions say, but it doesn't have any grooves to count so that u can reference if both sides are exact.

 

how do you adjust the rear shock?

 

U need a spanner wrench to turn it, the other stuff is ez with a flathead

 

so all you do is turn it with the spanner wrench to make it more firm? i havenever owned a cbr before so im kinda new to all this

to be honest, i have never done it before either. I just did everthing else except for rear spring cuz i don't have a spanner and the local store was sold out, but it looks ez.
