Default Starting the Transformation

Hello, All.

Amassing the pieces to convert my F4 to split-seat. Just picked up the subframe off ebay. Still have to get a few more pieces.

Having trouble finding some of the parts. If anyone has any of the pieces they are willing to part with I would greatly appreciate it. Also, just general tips/tricks are welcome too.

I've seen GotCbr's pictures, and have read numerous articles regarding this and I feel pretty confident. The only problem is just finding the parts!

I'll be updating this when I actually start the process.

Got my subframe in the mail. Took my original tail fairing off and everything lines up and it looks pretty simple.

I'm in the process of ordering the the new F4i tail fairing. I found numerous ones on eBay for about 100 bucks. But I'm leaning towards getting one that's already the color of my bike. I'm looking on Honda Parts Direct and found the tail fairings and I know that the different part numbers correspond with the different colors of the fairing, just not sure which one is which. Only downside is those fairings are around 250-300 bucks, but they're painted. My bikes red and black. Under the seat and on the battery tray it says "Color: r-157".

Here's the link to the Honda Direct Site..

Best of luck with it, the only thing holding me back (aside from a stolen bike) was the parts. I was hunting for months to no avail, post up pics when you can

I'll get 'er done. I didn't pay 200 for a subframe, and get myself excited, to not do it! Haha

Guess I'll just have to call Honda Parts Direct and sort out the whole color issue. I'll post pictures.

good luck! I gave up on my quest can't find the parts cheap enough. The money I would spend would not be worth it imo.
