I know this is the opposite of what you guys are talking about but has anyone went to opposite way to a 16/43 setup so the RPM's are lower and you have a higher top speed? Would you have to get a shorter chain for this setup??

I would think it would require a shorter chain...but why would you want that setup? better gas mileage, with slower acceleration?

ya mainly...I'm mainly just driving country roads and interstate so I don't need the quick accel and the + mpg is always good even though I can't really complain compared to cage...

that would be pointless. U can gear down and learn how to drive like a grandpa and get good gas mileage. U dont have to gear tall to get good gas mileage. Its all in the wrist and shift points.

Speedohealer is about fixing the odometer (resale) and speedometer (so you know how fast you are going).

The only time I'd say don't bother with the speedohealer is if you plan on making it a track bike. Otherwise, highly recommended. I've tuned mine to GPS accurate. I know if it says 110 km/h that'm going 110km/h - no guess work. I've passed cop cars with it. I know how fast I'm going, so I don't have to guess. No math... well 120 indicated is 110 so I'll do 120 indicated.

You might be able to tighten the stock chain with chain adjusters with this setup. If it's still not tight enough, just drop a couple of links and get a new master link. Or might as well just buy a new chain.

Thanks guys for the advice (Acing & N8). I drive a lot every day and just want a lil more mpg and like I said it's mainly country road and interstate driving so I don't need the RPM's too high. I prolly will just do a chain and sprockets change all together..I know that's what eveyone reccomends to do.
