im struggling to find anything on lugguage racks so i can have hard cases on my bike for whne i go away on bike in summer is there any1 who knows 1sthat will fit as dont want a back box on mine really prefer side cases if any1 knows what will fit would appreciate it i looked all over as my soft cases are ok but annoying rather lockable hard 1s thanks

 

Considering that the F4s were THE supersports of the day, not sport tourers, I highly doubt you will find anything pre-made for using hard boxes on one. Chances are that if you are dead set on having panniers you're going to have to have the custom made.

 

ohhh i only want themwhen i go away where would be able to custom make them or maybe similar model i can slightly modify maybe ill try that im jus seeing what options are prefer hard cases than the soft i got maybe get back box and see if i can adapt onto that with have to do anything to bike itself more research i guess ty for replying

 

I have no idea what is in your area as far as welding shops to custom make them. The 2000 VFR800s had optional hard bags. Not sure if the racks could be modified to fit the F4.

The big issue you will deal with is that the F4s rear bodywork completely covers the rear subframe, making mounting points very difficult without cutting up the plastic.

 

ill do some research or at a bike event see if a cheap rack about for another cbr then have a play wont hurt to try ill see wats in my area aswell

Also, I would seriously question anyone that claims they make products for a bike that doesn't exist. The F series stopped production in '06 (not '09), and the first generation F4i (split seat) uses a completely different subframe than the F4s and second gen F4i.
