shifting problems. (cross posted)
hey all. I posted in the last shifting problems thread and mine is a little different so i figured i'd start up a new thread and not litter the other guys thread.
the other day i took the bike out for a quick spin (00 f4) and it wasnt horribly cold out, about 50*F, so i figured the hondar wouldnt have a problem getting a little beating.
well anyways on my way home driving normal speeds (around 50mph) i shifted from 3rd to 4th but this time it wouldnt engage into 4th. I heard alot of gear slippage, almost grinding noise like my whole transmission broke into a million little pieces. so i pull the clutch in, roll to the side of the rode. All of sudden I am able to put it into first and ride the next 5 miles home.
Ive had a problem where my 3-4 shifts were kinda ****ty to get into as were my 1-2 shifts but i figured it was just my inexperience on the bike.
HELP! im hoping its not a tooth broken off in the gears but im preparing for the worse.
thanks for any advice.
