Default saddle bag

I am just wondering if you guys have purchased/made saddle bags for our bike. I am planning on a trip in the summer and will need extra room for carrying all my camping gears.

I don't mind buying one if it fits our bike well, but if someone improvised a setup that worked, its even better.

Whatever route you do go - make sure to get some of that protective matting for the sides of the tail section.
I have seen two guys rub through the paint on the sides of the tail with saddle bags in a weekend trip.

Both of them now use large tank bags and pillion seat bags instead of saddle bags

Thanks for the input. I used to strap my large back pack to the banana seat when I go on short weekend trips. I used $ store anti slip mats, they worked flawlessly. I also taped all the metal parts of the ratchets that might be in contact with the bike with clear hockey tape.

I have used this particular protector in the past and helped saved the paintwork

The oxford blanket link looks like non-slip, shelf-liner.

Con-Tact Grip 144 in. x 12 in. Taupe Drawer/Shelf Liner-12F-C6C59-12 at The Home Depot

Here's a crappy pic of my setup. A Givi tail-trunk, Trailmaster saddlebags and
a tankbag.

When I make the Tulsa-Austin, Tx run for the MotoGP,
I'll probably throw a duffle on top the saddlebags to top-it-off.
