Default Replica plastic, finally finished!!!!!

Well here it is guys, I finally finished my project, the eBay replica plastic CBR 600 F4. Well I actually finished in late Oct., so I was able to ride for like two weeks (Minnesota). Well it should have been left for the winter, but I guess I can work on other things then. The most difficult part of the project was getting the replica plastic to fit where the holes are on the frame, as well as the upper cowl and bracket where the upper mount. The plastic fit much better than expected, but I still cracked the upper by where the ram air plastic mounts (took epoxy, which I have become a pro with after fixing my old fairings, as well as zip-ties). This was about the hardest part, getting the ram air inserts in the front to fit, they don't fit like oem, flush, but they do stay and just took a couple of screws. I had to use the bracket from my old tail and put two screws through the new tail, but it looks acceptable. The only part that wasn't put in was the u-plastic that holds the two lower cowls together (by the oil filter). They would have to be hacked to hell to get that piece to fit, so I used some galvanized pipe strap to hold them together (only looks tacky if you look closely). Besides that, changed the oil and painted as well as did the body work on the tank. Besides that, just want to throw in a double-bubble screen and powder coat the wheels white. The fairings were possible to work with, but the seller had it dead on, let a professional (or just not a complete idiot) put the kit together. Just don't scrap the old fairings, they work well as templates. And get the heat pads for the inside of the new fairings (servicehonda.com). Otherwise it just takes time and ideas after ideas. Any questions let me know, peace guys!!!

Those were the same ones I was going to get.
Guess I can't use those.... well you are in MN and I'm in PA don't want to be a copy cat...maybe I saw them first on ebay haha

Damn that does look really sweet.
I have the real race version of the bike as my desktop at work.

Did you paint the gas tank yourself?
Think you'll powder coat the rims a blue to match?

The bike looks killer, but I don't like the screws in the tail. OEM is the only way to go on body work. Over all I like the look you did +2 on the blue wheels.

Ya I didn't want to put the screws through as well, but the tail didn't have any mounts and I needed to make it work, the new fairings don't have many of the oem mounts, so forth. Ya I did the bondo and paint on the tank, it had some dents. I mixed the paint myself as well (work at a auto parts store). Ya the blue wheels would be cool, maybe white???

White wheels are suck a PITA to keep clean. I had while PONY wheels on my 90 5.0 and it was not a DD and it still sucked keeping them looking good and car wheels are eaiser to clean.

I think the blue rims would be sick as well.
That is what I was, or still might do if I feel so inclined and can find another nice replica set.
Here's an idea of what it'd look like with the blue rims.
Sorry its not the best pic I have of it, but the good one is over 2 mb and won't let me upload
