I recently bought a 2000 honda cbr f4. The engine was blown so I did a swap. Now, I'm no mechanic and im having a hard time getting it all back together. The piece im holding in my hand I think is a solenoid. Not really sure what it is if I could get some confirmation on what it is where it goes and what not would be great. Attached are some more pictures of what Im working with so far. The chain also seems to be loose and help with that would be appreciated.

 

Do you have a repair manual? I'm taking a shot in the dark but it looks like the air vent control solenoid valve. At least it looks like the one on the repair manual a little bit. If you have the repair manual in pdf form then its look on page 29. If you have the real book then its pages 1-22, and 1-25. But again im guessing.

 

the solenoid valve you have there mounts above the valve cover just inside of the front of the frame. bisically inbetween the valve cover and airbox the nipples on the valve connect to their corresponding crankcase vent hoses, i would up load a picture since my bike is apart in the dining room but i can't find my USB cable.

 

Yea that whole air control system I'm having trouble with what connects to what the manual doesnt give a good description. I need to know what that piece connects to plus what the carborator and air filter connect to. Any help would be appreciated
