I noticed that I'm wearing a small patch on the ankle bone protector on my boot.

When I looked closer I see my boot mark on the rear set protector for the brake line. Its a piece of aluminum that has a few horizontal holes. It looks like it can be removed but it exposes the rear brake line to my boot. Any suggestions?
