OK so im new here and am relatively new to sport bikes. I am looking at a few different cbrs, but mainly f4's. So on to my question, I am looking at a 99 f4 with 50xxx miles on it. the owner says that he has only owned the bike or a year but the po he bought it from said he had the valves checked, and that they were fine and wouldn't need to be rechecked till 64xxx mi. Is there any thing i should look/listen for to indicate the valves need to be adjusted? Also is there anything else i should look for as troubled areas. Besides the standard stuff; tires brakes fluids overall condition of bike ect. And lastly, what do you guys think of the asking price of $2600 Thanks in advance for the help.

 

not really sure about the valves but im sure others will have some info for you. But for the price i would definitely try to talk him down. I got my F4 with 20k miles for 2 grand up here in Wisconsin. Id say if your gonna go for that bike, show up with 2k in cash. Money talks i doubt he would turn you away. Good luck with the F4 your gonna love it.
