Is the speedo like jumping up and down really fast? Say your going 30mph and it jumps to 20mph or 40mph fast but you know your still doing 30mph?

If the speedo is jumping it could be your chain or sprockets. Do the engine revs mirror the changes on the speedo? If your friend was trying to clutch up wheelies hecould have trashed the chain.

thats something i probly need to look at b/c im not quite sure. i hope it could be that easy of a fix. but when it hesitates the rpms dont jump they go down...if it was the chaine the rpms would go up? b/c of no resistance?

Do you FEEL the hesitations? I'm thinking it could be some electrical problem now. Like a ground wire. Kinda leaning more toward shoping it.

yeah you can feel the bike hesitate as it goes up the rpms. sometimes it will do it over bumps too...another thing leading towards electrical problem.

It seem to me that if it cuts out over bumps then you have a short or a bad conection. have you checked all that wire harnesses yet?

i went to start my bike today and nothing, just a click and then turns completely off....i pull of the seat and the ground wire was completly unscrewed, i try to screw it back in and it just kept turning, same with the positive. its like they are both stripped or the nut underneath is missing? however i tried to tighten them and went for a quick ride...it seemed to fix the hesitation and i dont think the spedo was jumping around...i guess that was the problem? my idle seemed a little better too. it was warm when i was doing this so what do you guys think?
