OEM replacements for discontinued parts?

OEM replacements for discontinued parts?
So heres the back story, yesterday I got a screaming deal on this 1999 CBR600 F4 with 53k miles on it (even came with papers). $200 CAD. Having said that its probably pretty obvious it needs work. It’s not running and missing lots of cosmetics.
The cosmetics I'm not too worried about before I find out how her bones are doing.
My 2 most glaring issues at the moment are a missing ignition pulse generator and a broken clutch lifter (rod from middle of clutch basket). My local parts dealer informed me are both discontinued and I am now finding out are very scarce to find online.
I was wondering if there are any good resources out there for comparing compatibility between different models and generations for seemingly common parts or preferred sites for shopping hard to find parts.

Honestly as far as the clutch lifter goes, I would just buy a used clutch cover on ebay since they are typically sold together. sometimes you can luck out and find NOS parts there as well. as far as the pickup coil, I replaced mine with a Caltric. It works just fine but here are my gripes with it. the wiring harness for it is much longer than the factory one. the wires are too small of a diameter for the rubber grommet, so I had to fill the holes with glue to stop oil from leaking out, and the metal frame wasn't spaced properly. I was able to force it in and it flexed into place and it works fine, but the quality definitely wasn't the greatest. I currently have about 8k miles on it with no running issues.

eBay's good source for used/NOS parts for older bikes.
ebay - CBR600F4 clutch & pulse parts
Not same part#, but F4i clutch lifter pin looks similar enough.
