has anyone done the swap from 99-00 plastics to the newer 01-05 plastic if so how much modification did it recuire mainly wanting to switch the front end it looks like the side fairings are the same but concerned about the fron and headlight all hep is appreiciated

 

There have been any number or members that have done the F4 to F4i front/tail/complete conversion(s).

Yes, side fairings are same.

Front - requires F4i fairing stay (need F4 instrument cluster), F4 dual-light setup (requires F4i front/headlight wiring harness or mod your F4 harness), F4i front cowl, F4i windscreen, F4i air duct covers or mod your own or leave 'em off all together.

Tail - keep banana or do split-seat setup. See my tutorial for specific help regarding the latter.

Sure, its all about preferences & needs of course. The banana seat can be really comfortable for sure.

 

If you want to just change the upper you can do just that and it will mate with the f4 lowers
