hello cbr forum peoples!

i just bought a 00 CBR with 12k on it. Its orange and black and really clean. Super excited can't wait to get it registered and what not but just trying to get more familiar with the bike.

It has a full two brothers exhaust, HIDs, he said he jetted it (no idea what that is) and lowered it on a link it looks like. Im not 100% on the bike terms yet im more of a car guy but i work on my own stuff so im sure i will find out soon enough

Just wondering any common problems with 00 CBRs i should look out for?

it has the reversed shifter im most likely going the change that cause it confuses the hell outta me and kinda uncomfortable. Remove the HID cause the guy said u can't run a horn and hid on the bike cause it gets screwed up and not having a horn kinda crazy to me. The front right fork is also leaking a bit looks like the seal is blown.

But all in all the bike is super clean! tiny scratchs here and there and stuff thats need to be tightened but for 2,000 i couldn't pass it up

welcome to the forum from another newb to the site. best bet would be to search around, the past few days ive been digging up old threads on my bike to see common issues and how to fix stuff.


these bikes are a blast to ride, just respect the bike and dont push yerself. also make sure you got some gear and never run without a lid.

 

just took the bike for a ride today and wow im so glad i bought this bike! im trying to get some more gear. Atm i have HJC helmet, Shift jacket and gloves and just got some knee/shin guards cause i can't afford some nice pants yet and boots are soon to come!

my friend went down going 110 at a track in full suit and was fine a little bruised shoulder was all and every time i ask him what to get he simple says everything and if i argue he always wins with the "i went down going 110 and im fine" line, can't argue with that!
