Need to turn on engine on its own
Hello, I have a 600 f4 engine and was tinkering around trying to turn it on on its own, since i want to use it on a buggy project i have in mind. Needless to say it was a waste of time. Haven't managed to have any sparks at all. Stand and clutch switches are shorted, pink cable with diode outputting 9v to ECU, engine turns but no spark. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When key ON, start/top=RUN
- Is there power at fuel-pump blk/blu wire and it's running?
- Is there power at ignition coils blk/wht wires?
- Is there power at ignition module blk wire?
- Is green light lit on dash when in neutral?
Safety switches need to connect ground to multiple wires at ignition module and starter-solenoid. There’s also diode to connect them together to share line going to ignition module. Unplug ignition module and measure terminals at its connector:
- Measure resistance between grn wire to battery-neg, ohms = ???
- Measure resistance between grn/wht wire to battery-neg, ohms = ???
- Measure resistance between lt.grn wire to battery-neg, ohms = ???
Notice there's a green ground wire on harness that provides ground for fuel-pump, sidestand-switch and ignition module/ECU. That wire needs to connect to frame/chassis-ground. Without frame, that wire doesn't connect to ground properly. Find that wire and connect it directly to battery-neg terminal. Then redo all tests above
