Anytime you buy used anything, it will always be that question. Even the most well intended owner can miss a shift and send the RPM into never land. The bike though is being sold at a dealership, so it "may" give you some rights or warranty of some sort. Of course, I remember reading your concern about selling it in a year for what you paid for it. The F4i new, will not sell in a yr. for what you paid for it and you will spend approx. twice the price for it over this. On the F4, ask the dealer who had it before, call them and make your call then. I am a gambler, and it has always paid off for me. If the outside condition shows good maintenance, the inside usually does as well. If it looks raggy, so was the maintenance, probably.
