when u are driving sometimes and try to get on it in any gear it bogs and pops if u hang in there it will clear up though but also it starts doing it when u hit the bright lights????? any idea the carbs were also just cleaned and jetted

thanks for the responce guys the idle was around 2000 rpm i turned it down today to about 1300 1400 now when it is idleing the rpm gauge rumps around it will drop to zero then go back up does anyone know if it has a voltage reguliator??? maby thats going bad
and a new question the bike has 31k miles on it and i do here some valve noise is this normal or do i need to take it in and get them adjusted riding and power wise its the same still strong

Start with a multi-meter on ur battery. With the bike off the battery should read between 13 and 13.2 volts. If its under 12.3v, the battery is undercharged
If its a new battery and your voltage is down, chances are its your stator or your voltage regulator/rectifier.
Start the bike and check the voltage at idle then rev the bike to 5000rpm the voltage should not go over around 14 volts, and should come back down if the voltage regulator is working properly.
Go for a ride and check the voltage on the battery once the bike is off. should be back to around 13v.
hope this helps

Use an easy out on that bolt. That always sucks. The ignition pulse generator just tells the bike when to fire. Very unlikely to be the cause but possible. I would do the charging system tests like suggested. More likely to be stator or regulator/rectifier. Also check and make sure you battery connections are tight and any ground wires bolted to the frame is tight and clean. Look for any wires that may have rubbed on anything or gotten hot and melted the coating away leaving bare wires able to goto ground.
