Default Mystery hose trapped behind swingarm

Where's this short, thin hose supposed to route? it's currently pinched between the engine and swingarm!

It's just the overflow hose. The other end connect to the bottom of your tank. If you look at the filler cap area, you will see a drain hole there, that's the ultimate connection. It doesn't matter where it goes as long as it can allow for fuel to pass through if needed.

Wow, thanks for the speedy reply Hamlin! So if I follow you correctly, any overflow from the tank should be going down that tube, then into that canister?

That canister thing is your fuel pump. Are you sure the hose is attached to that?

That looks to be an evap canister. The hose is a vent/drain.

I was just getting read to correct demon by saying, "no the evap canister is on the right hand side of the bike." Then I read your caption. I'm an idiot. Sorry about that. For whatever reason I automatically thought I was looking at the left side.
He, as usual is correct.

That's a relief, many thanks 74demon & hamlin6. I've only recently bought the bike, and am mostly bringing it back to stock.
